My Fare Wells,

Good Evening Guys,
This is my last and final update blog before I show you the final product,
I am soo relieved that we are done with this, it feels like I have this huge weight lifted off of my shoulders.
The film is set and done, my CCR needs some final touches. I have been having troubles with my CCR, but I am currently hoping for the best. I truly never realized how long it was going to take me. But positive thinking only!
Here are some things I forgot to keep you guys updated on:
- For our scene 2 montage, Andres, ended up allowing us to use his produce, YAY!
- For the title, Shelby screwed up the name, by writing Allign, instead of Align, BUT we liked that better because of "ALLign" you know, ALL the zodiacs. So in a way a mistake led to a nice idea.
- We cut off scene 4, because it was too long, it sucks, because I looked pretty good in all the shot :(.
Anyways, I just want to say it has been fun blogging weekly,
I will definitely miss this,
I may end up going back and working on this, but for now

I Will See You Later ;)

Finally Filmed!

Good Afternoon Guys,

To be honest I don’t really know what day it is right now, but I think it’s Friday...?
Anyways, it’s been a rough couple days, we were originally supposed to film on Sunday and Monday, then our original actors cancelled last minute, ALL OF THEM
One of them traveled and the other one just got "sick"
It is pretty frustrating, because finding new actors last minute is extremely stressful, but we were lucky we found new volunteers almost immediately, and they have been very cooperative.
Our original actors were,Vienna and Taylor (for main characters) and now it is Sofia and I.
With our new actors, the filming days went something like this:

Wednesday: We filmed Scene 5 (the date)
Thursday: We filmed Scenes 1& 3 (introducing Emerald)
Friday: We filmed Scenes 2,4 (introducing Zoe)

It’s been really exhausting, but we are finally done! We started editing, and we are aiming to finish it up by the end of spring break. I started my CCR, I am practically almost done with my script, and all I have left is to film, which I am planning on doing so on Tuesday, the FSA testing day.
It has been quite tiring and exhausting, but we pulled through! And now we are at the ends of it, and it’s coming out pretty good so far, I’m definitely proud of it .
Even though, We have had some obstacles, we manged to work with them, and Its alright because I wasn't expecting it to go smoothly throughout.
Enjoy some pictures of behind the scenes:

I took all of these photos, which explains why you can't find any from my scenes, and honestly I forgot to take some of me. That is it for today,
I Will See You Later ;)

Introducing Characters and Meanings

Good Morning Lovely Bloggers,
My Spring Break has been rough, it honestly doesn't feel like a break. I have so much work to do, like I mentioned in my previous blog, and it has been consuming the majority of my time. But it is alright, because I would rather get rid of this now and get it over with before taking my exams. Anyways, let me introduce you to our characters:
  • Reem is playing the Gemini- Zoë
    • Enthusiastic
    • Adjustable
    • Indecisive
      • Zoe is the lively one
  • Sofia is playing the Taurus-Emerald
    • independent
    • patient
    • selfless
    • understanding
    • Stubborn
      • Emerald is the birth stone for Taurus
  • Sumaiyya is playing Emerald's friend, the Pisces-Mercy
    • Compassionate
    • Emotional
    • Lazy
    • Selfless
    • Sensitive
      • Mercy is Middle English for compassionate and Mercy
  • Andres is playing the Aries paired up with Zoe-Niall
    • Adventurous
    • Versatile
    • Lively
    • Passionate
    • Arrogant
      • Niall is a champion
  • Sebastian is playing the Virgo paired up with Emerald- Swain
    • Meticulous
    • Analytical
    • Reliable
    • Overcritical
    • Judgmental
      • Swain is youth in old service
  • Julie is the Sagittarius waitress- Doran
    • Large hearted
    • Careless
      • Doran is a wanderer

Every Character's personality has been listed, according to the zodiac analysis of their basic personality. They were named based of off a name associated to their individual signs. To address the fact, yes we do have more than two characters, which is rough. But, they are essential to our plot. Mercy, Swain, Niall, and Doran and only in one scene and their character development isn't important, which is why we believe it is okay to include that many. The majority of our opening focuses on Emerald and Zoe. Now that you know a little more about our characters,

I Will See You Later ;)

Human Crab Destroyed My Plans..... and DJs !

Good Day Mates,
It is 9:49 pm on Sunday, and I am currently drenched in Aloe Vera from head to toe. Like I mentioned in my last blog, I went to the beach yesterday and I got burnt, badly. So periodically throughout the day today I have been pouring Aloe Vera on myself, and it has not been great. How did you get badly burnt might you ask? Well, my friends and I were tanning, and we all accidentally "rested our eyes" for a little too long, and now we all look like human crabs. Well my friend said I looked more like Napoleon ice cream, but that is besides the point.
A few blogs ago I mentioned the CCR, and how I was supposed to work on it this week. Well I am going to be honest. In my original schedule, I planned to finish my CCR script today, but I didn't. I couldn't really finish my CCR script, because we have not finished our productions yet. So, I couldn't really address the entire prompt. The minute we are done with editing, I will finish it.

Look, at least I have quite a few things done. I am also almost done with one of my other roles, which is creating the government emails, all I have left is to take a picture of two attractive young men, and I am done. It is alright tho, I did originally plan out with the intention of slacking, so as of right now I am all good.
Our second scene is going to be a montage of Zoe running, in which she will receive her email. So we are going to need music for Zoe to run to. Our original plan was to use "Twist and Shout" by The Beatles. I emailed Capitol Records for copyright permission, and I am still waiting for a response. Time is running out, so we need to find a backup. I completely forgot that my friend, Andres, is a DJ, and if I am correct, he produces his own music. Andres, loves EDM, which i assume is what he produces. So if everything goes well, hopefully we could use one of his songs.

Change of Plans and Logo

Good Morning People,
It’s is Saturday, and I am writing this really early in the morning because I am about to go to the beach, Yay!
As of right now, I am not sure if we are going to film on Monday anymore. The squad and I were discussing, and we’ve realized Monday might not work, due to our actors and stuff. But we changed it to Tuesday which is not that big of a difference, but on the bright side it gives me more time to plan my CCR.
We also split our roles, which I did discussed earlier, and I ended up working on a logo for our City Council, the leaders of the society. We didn’t change the name, we stuck with the: Weston.
While working on the logo, I wanted it to look modern, slick, and very simple, to represent the clean cut life style that they try to achieve, but I also wanted to add some color, to show the “freedom” aspect of it. So just a few minutes ago I created the official logo for our community, I sent it to the squad, but since it is soo early in the morning I have yet to revive any feedback from them, so I posted it here to get your opinions on it.
If you notice, in the bottom I put “compatibility is key.” This was a sutble way of me showing the Dystopian Aspect of the society. By highlighting their Slogan/Phrase I empahtized that aspect, kind of like how the did with 1984’s “Big Brother is Watching” phrase.
Unfortunately that is all I have for you guys today but,

I Will See You Later ;)

Final Schedule Runs

Good Afternoon lovely people,
Today is Thursday, Last day of before Spring Break! I am very excited for spring break to start, I even skipped my 8th periods because I was THAT excited. Okay, before you guys freak out, my teacher did tell us not to show up if we don't have to, so it was okay. I went to the gym instead, so it was for a better cause.
Anyways, Today was the last group meeting before school ended, it was a productive meeting might I add. Nawal and I got to finish the rest of the script, and plan out the major details of our production. For example:
-We decided to finish filming on Monday the 3/25
-We split the last roles we had again, because we found a more efficient way to get things done
-We were able to capture the shots, and zodiac details that helped us finish the script.
On Monday, we are going to be meeting a little earlier to finalize everything, because I feel like we have something missing. It is nothing big, but something that will make everything just right. Then we will begin filming the rest of our introduction. I am so excited for this part, because quite frankly it is my favorite. My excitement for Spring Break is going through the roofs, that I am forced to end this blog,

I Will See You Later ;)

CCR Light Bulb

Good Afternoon Bloggers,
Spring Break is in a couple of days and I am so excited to take a "break" from school for a bit. Even though I have quite a bit to work on, it is okay. It is not like I have 9 concentration pieces to work on, this project to finish, SAT prep, 100 EOC practice questions, and a College Essay to work on. But, I promised my friends I'd go to the beach, so we will see how that goes.
Anyways, The deadline is around the corner and I decided that it is time to stop and start thinking about the CCR. With a little under half of our footage done and with our script under final construction, I feel like I have the opportunity to start working on the script for my CCR.
I have decided I am going to be creating an edit using WeVideo for my CCR. . . . .
WAIT
Light Bulb!!
As I am writing this, I thought of this new idea. . . .
What if I create a. . . .
Draw My Life sort of video.
Where I draw out the entire process of my project, with a voice over explaining the process.Either way I will be needing a script for my CCR, so I will start writing it out this week.
Here is an example of a Draw My Life,

WOW
How did I not think of that earlier. . .
So, using WeVideo, I am going to edit my . . .  Wait for It . . .  Draw My Final Project!!!
Well, with my train of thought interrupted, I have no choice but to leave you with this information for now,
but don't you worry,

I Will See You Later ;)

Reflections and Planning

Good Evening Humans,
This weekend has been yet another interesting one. Ever since I met my new friends, I have been out with them way too often, and I have been getting accustomed to a new group of friends. It is kind of refreshing if you ask me, because I don't think I have had genuine guy friends before, and it's quite nice. I probably would never tell them this, but I am happy I met them.
AND. . . . that was my weekly update, now to the blog:
As I have come with terms today, we are about halfway through our final project, at least time wise. My group and I have been moving a little slow, but I am definitely seeing progress. We really do need to step up our game this upcoming week. We already filmed a little, as I showed you guys in my previous blog, and we will finish filming and editing during Spring Break.
After talking to our teacher, we realized that we need to start assigning individual roles to start working on. It will help the process go much faster and smoother. As of right now, we have a couple roles split up, but we will discuss, in depth, the final assignments each of us need to begin working on.
I started thinking about the CCR, and I decided I am going to be making a video similar to the first example our teacher gave us, I can't remember his name, but I will try and find it before my next blog. I am planning to start working on that pretty soon, hopefully before the week ends. I am excited and nervous at the same time, I really hope this project ends up going great.
That was my reflection,
I Will See You Later ;)

Filming and disappointments

Good Day Mates,
I hope you guys have had a spectacular weekend so far. Today I went out shooting with Nawal. We were able to get footage of the beginning of your intro. We filmed the establishing scenes, and my cook show scenes. Shelby couldn’t tag along, because it was her birthday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHELBY!
Anyways, I was able to get some footage of us shooting, so I hope you guys enjoy this short clip. I am disappointed to say that you guys will not be seeing the final product of the chef hat. Nawal didn’t want to use the chef hat, and I was kind of disappointed because I really wanted to wear it, it’s okay though. If you guys were to see it, you’d understand why she didn’t want me to wear it. (and yes, I was proud of it until I actually put it on)

Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed this small clip of Nawal and I shooting, have a lovely rest of your weekend,
I Will See You Later ;)

Creating props

Hello beautiful people,
Today is Thursday, which means tomorrow is Friday! Tomorrow in class, we are going to be meeting with our groups to discuss our projects and the progress. I am really excited to see what people have been doing, and I am curious to know how people feel about my project, and the suggestions they are going to offer. I will let you know what happens, so watch out for my blogs.
Like I mentioned last blog, Nawal and I decided that we are going to be shooting cooking videos, and I am going to be the chef, and of course every chef need a chef hat. So I attempted to create a hat. But beware, even though I am good at drawing, I am not really the best at arts and crafts, and I didn’t have much time, but it turned out pretty decent.

I am really excited to be working on this, I forgot to take a picture of the hat and it is too far away, it’s alright though you guys will see it in my upcoming blog, where I will be showing you guys our shooting day 1!
Woo, I am soo excited to finally film some footage, it is going to be AMAZING.
But for now,
I Will See You Later ;)

Story-boarding!!

Good Day Lovely People,
I hope everyone has had a lovely day today, and a great rest of the week. Why am I spreading positivity you may ask? Well, I feel as if the world is lacking some, so here I am. I started this trend by greeting everyone that walks into my Lang class, and let me tell you, some people were not having it that day, which is why we NEED this! I will be enforcing this onto my daily routine, and I will let you guys know how it goes. We need to stop focusing on the negative, and shift to the positive.
Thank you for joining my Ted Talk.

(Please excuse my photography skills)
In class today, we worked on the Storyboard and we discussed the plot and the mise-en-scene more in depth. We started to focus the plot more towards the stereotypical aspects of our zodiacs. In the beginning scenes V is following a Chef's tutorial on how to make a salad bowl. A Salad Bowl? I know, weird. But that is how it is. While creating that aspect, we figured that to illustrate the Dystopia even more, the tutorial is going to be conducted by a government persona that will be manipulating everything. That character is going to be played by ME. I am actually soo excited to play this role, it going to be fun pretending to be chef.  On Friday, I am going to be working on the props for those scenes, and on Saturday Nawal and I are going to film the beginning few scenes.

I Will See You Later ;)

We tried....

Good Evening friends,
I have had quite the interesting weekend. My club's event, Artography Expo was this Friday, and it went great, we got around a 100 people (that's 99 more people than I thought would show up). But it was amazing, I am proud of myself for pulling it off. On Saturday, I hung out with a couple new friends, and it is safe to say, I have lost my faith in all teenage boys. I had some, but it is now all gone. Today was normal, All I did was draw and work on some homework. Pretty interesting weekend overall. And this is it for my life update :)
Due to complications and miscommunication, I can not fulfill my promise. But I will be giving you guys and update on where my group currently is. So far this week we have discussed change of zodiac signs, filming locations, shooting schedule.
The shooting schedule is the one part I have yet to discuss on the blog.
Our shooting schedule is going to be something along the lines of:

February 21th- March 15th- Full research and planning of film
March 15-17th  and first half of Spring Break- shooting the film
Second half of Spring Break and first week of April- Editing of film
April 1st-7th- finalizing and doing the CCR

(these dates are an estimation of what is to happen, we will most likely finish editing and filming sooner than scheduled dates) We have been following our schedule pretty well, we haven't fallen off yet, and hopefully we won't. We are at the end of our 3rd week, which is INSANE. it is all fine though..... yeah.

I Will See You Later ;)

Shooting Time!!!!

Good Morning Blog,
Before I let the title deceive you, we have yet to shoot. Today, I am going to be discussing our shooting locations.
With our new profound entail about our Dystopia, we had to find locations that fit our project best.
For our opening, we are going to be establishing the setting so, we are going to show various long shots of locations such as:

- Weston Town Center
- Weston Hills Golf Course
- South Post road, Bonaventure
- Isles of Weston Entry
- Weston Commons

We have found that the majority of these places are the best representation of the society that we are trying to create, and if we are capable of capturing the right shot, we would get it. Weston Town Center, and Weston Commons are the our "social areas," we are going to be using these areas for filming the parts with the dates, meet ups, and hangouts. Weston Hill golf course, and Isles of Weston, are going to be used to establish the place where V and T live. The roads, are going to be used as filler shots and transitions.

In my next blog, I will be showing you parts of the script and more shooting locations,
but for now

I Will See You Later ;)

Character Developing.... Fun!

Good Day fellow bloggers,

This is the blog where I am going to be pulling a JK Rolling.

My group and I are basing and building our characters solely based off of their zodiac's basic characteristic. Since our intro is heavily dependent on the signs and their compatibility we realized that creating a background a building proper characters is best. Today I am going to be delving into my characters personalities.
The main character, V, as you already know is a Taurus. Taurus woman are known to be generous, kind, and dependable. Based on that, we are going to make V extra generous and kind, maybe have her help out people, volunteer, anything representing those characteristics. Taurus are also known for being quite stubborn, which will lead us to create that rebellion aspect, have her stubborn and determined towards accomplishing her goal. They are also known to be lazy and tend to eat a lot, which will make her relatable, humorous and down to earth.

T, our second half of the couple is going to be a Gemini. Geminis are known to be intelligent, outgoing, and adjustable. T is going to be career-based but down to go on an adventure at any moment. She is very fierce and loves a nice challenge, the rebellion. Geminis are also known to be indecisive, so although she is willing to lead, she will be hesitant towards doing certain things. Also, Geminis are extremely nosy people, which will allow our character to want to delve into the minds of people, and try to get information out of them. She loves to gather data and research to make conclusions about topics that intrigue her, and she will go on based on that.

Change of Plans

Good afternoon lovely bloggers and friends,

I have had a pretty good day today. The SAT went well, which is amazing, I am making new friends which is also pretty great, it’s been good. Although It’s been a little rough, it’s currently going great. And that was an update about me, now to give you an update on the project:
Remember how I said our couples' zodiac signs were going to be compatible? Well that changed. We decided it would make a more of an impact having two non compatible people fall in love. That means we changed our characters signs.

Our main character, V(we have yet to name them), will be a Taurus. Coincidentally enough, that is our actor's actual sign, and we felt that it would be easier and better to work with those terms. Also, Nawal happens to be a Taurus and she will be helping us create the characters persona based on herself too.

Due to that, we made the other characters' signs the same as ours, we felt that having them be our actual zodiac signs would be a good idea because it would help us delve into the characters minds better. Therefore, T, V's partner, is going to be a Gemini-like me. V's best friend, would be a Pisces- like Shelby. This works out nicely because Taurus and Pisces are actually compatible; therefore, our best friends naturally work out. Gemini and Taurus are no where near compatible, so the odds worked out in our favor.

I Will See You Later !

Redemption and..... brain-fart?

Good Afternoon!
In my first blog, I did mentioned a schedule I created for my research blogs. If you don't remember let me offer a refresher. It contained four steps: Brainstorm story, Story research, Genre research, and More research. I am currently on my 5th blog, and I have yet to discuss my research, so here I am trying to redeem myself.
While conducting genre research, my group mates and I found out that there is indeed a science fiction sub genre "Utopia Sci-Fi."
- Minor interference, I am currently researching the difference between the two societies, and I just realized that we are indeed creating a Dystopian society. Well that just changed everything. . .  . great.
While I was researching my genre, I also realized that I am not really familiar with the minor differences between Utopias and Dystopias, because sometimes a Dystopia could be mistaken for a Utopia, which is what happened in my case. The clip above discussed how there is two different kinds of Dystopias, one which is chaotic and one that isn't. The Giver or Equals are two examples of movies that have incorporated two the more "organized" Dystopias, that usually lead to a rebellion by the protagonist. Also, in those societies there is also always something that is completely and utterly wrong in their leadership system, which usually leads to that snap in the protagonist.
Basically that describes the overall idea of our introduction which concludes that our society is indeed Dystopian. This changes quite a few things, mainly the perspective of the filming processes.
We now have to exaggerate the "idealistic" aspect of the society, the rebellion, and the plot.
It's okay this is normal. . . . right?
I am just glad we caught this minor mistake early on in the process.
Besides no one is perfect, not even Chris Evans.

I Will See You Later ;)

(got some exciting stuff coming soon)

Group Meet ups and More Ideas

Good afternoon lovely bloggers,

Its Friday, and I am currently waiting to go see my friends, I have a couple hours left, so I decided to kill some time.
Today has been quite an interesting day, I am not the one to usually procrastinate, but unfortunately, certain times lead to certain measures. Honestly, I truly thought my group is slacking and up to date and the rest. During our a group discussing relating to our project, and I came to realization that my group is actually on the same track as the others, we are all trying to figure out the gist of our ideas.
When it came to my project, I am glad to say everyone liked my idea, and of course they all had something to say about what I could do to make it the best.
I don't think I mentioned this in my previous blog post, but since we are conducting a Utopian society, I figured out that we do need a color scheme. Every Utopian society has a color scheme, and usually it is vibrant and colorful.
I was originally thinking of creating a pastel color scheme, but someone in my group did mention that we should work with the color scheme that fits our community instead. The pastels wouldn't necessarily work with a Utopia, but more with a Dystopia.
Now that I think about it, When it comes to these societies, the schemes are usually more concentrated in the architecture and design more so than the attire itself. Which is why we have to work around our society's aroma. It's going to be hard, but who doesn't like a challenge? Nevertheless, it is still important for us to incorporate a scheme because it is extremely important to our establishing point.

Our main inspiration for our setting and scheme is Children of Men, even though the movie is about a Dystopia we appreciated how well the set design was, and the fact that we could identify exactly what kind of society it is almost immediately. That is what we are trying to do. Weston Town Center, is one of the main places we are going to be shooting in. Due to that we have to work with their color scheme which consists of pinks, oranges, and blues. It kind of has that pastel tone, but not really, it has a more vibrant scheme.
Anyways, that is what it for my blog! I am sorry I keep pushing the plot post, it is driving me insane, and I would love to tell you guys about it, but I don't want to post it until it is fully done and discussed, we have the outline finished. for you, I will post the outline and the plot, by the end of the week, promise. :)

.....Brainstorming

Good afternoon beautiful creatures,

I am starting to dig these weekly blogs, and believe it or not, I'm starting to believe I will be looking forward to blogging, shocker. But they're starting to become therapeutic, you know? I could go off about everything I want whenever I want, its like a free form of therapy.
Anyways, let's get to the interesting topics. My group and I finally got the opportunity to discuss our project in more detail. We were able to brainstorm a couple of ideas for what we want to do with our project.
And, are you ready for it? Nawal gave me homework............how rude!

Don't worry, it wasn't anything bad, I just had to watch episode 4 season 4 "Hang the DJ" of  the show Black Mirror. This episode is about these individuals that join this Utopian society in order to find their perfect person, and basically they have to go on dates with different individuals until they get paired up with their most compatible lover.
The reason I had to watch the episode was because, Nawal and Shelby got inspired by it. They liked the the whole concept of compatibility. They wanted to incorporate the idea of a Utopian society that runs on compatibility. The signs would be compatible based off of their zodiacs, and their life would revolve around that, all their friendships and intimate relationships are heavily effected on that concept.
I am actually quite excited for this!
To be honest, I don't think it'll be hard creating a Utopian society due to the fact that we live in WestOn.
Another concept we came up with in relation to the society, is creating a tattoo-a form of identity- that every individual would have on their right wrist representing their zodiac sign.
Just like the image on the right, we want to incorporate something very similar to that, we are even considering adding possible serial numbers on every person, again to highlight the idea of identity. Since both Nawal and I can do Henna, it'll be easy to work with and it lasts a couple days, so we won't have to go through the process of drawing it on numerous times.

It is weird the way my group is approaching this process, we basically have various details gathered up, but not much of the plot  planned out. But realistically our details and meticulously chosen concepts are pushing us back from the final plot outline, i guess it is alright, we aren't falling behind or anything.... yet. Due to the that, I will let you guys know in my next blog all about our plot and our shooting schedules. But for now,

I Will See You Later *snaps fingers*

( I can't wait to vlog so you guys could actually see my new profound catchphrase, with the finger snap and everything!)

Story Time!

Hey Guys! It's me again

(Bare with me, I am trying to think of a catch phrase, but I guess this will work for now)

Anyways, remember my last blog? Wonderful! There was a part where I mentioned that I had an idea for our film introduction and that I needed to discuss it with the squad before I revealing it to you guys. Well today is your lucky day, I'm going to tell you what my new idea is, because it is better than my original.
Yesterday night I had a sleepover with my closest friends and around 1:30 am while we were talking, my best friend and I noticed the stars. They were all beautifully shining in the sky, each one sparkled stronger than the others. Somehow, we ended up laying on my friends backyard ground, staring at the stars for a little over an hour, it was fascinating. We soon realized that these constellations were indeed the zodiacs. We saw a couple, the Gemini, the Virgo, the Cancer, and the Leo. It was honestly one of the most amazing things I have seen in a while.

My best friend and I start talking, we were discussed the facts relating to individuals and the zodiac, basically the idea of zodiac signs and their representations. I got inspired. While we were discussing our possible plot, I recalled the stars, and I suggested the idea of zodiac.
What if our main characters are compatible zodiacs, and this was their destiny? Maybe we could have them represent the zodiac? Maybe they could become the zodiac? What if, all the other characters' personalities relate to their zodiacs relationship to the main characters zodiac? So many thoughts were running through my head, so I call the squad to tell them, and to my surprise Shelby had a similar idea to mine. We both had the idea of the zodiac. And that's how it all started.

We created a love a story about two individuals whose zodiacs are compatible. They were practically destined to be together, where their stars aligned is what were going to call it. The plot goes something like this: the lives of  two individuals and how their worlds collided. In the intro, we are going to present the individuals lives, their friends, and their personalities. We are also going to establish setting.
Through research  I have learned that the most compatible zodiacs are the ones that are opposite of each other.(Cancer and Capricorn) Also, the zodiacs that are from the same element are usually a power couple.(earth, fire, water, air) Since we are creating a love story between two individuals, we needed to find out the most compatibility between our two characters' zodiacs. For our main character, we decided to make her a Pisces; therefore, our lover is a Virgo, the most compatible to Pisces. The gender of our lover is yet to be determined. The reason she is a Pisces, is because we wanted to represent a zodiac that is easily recognized, and we thought Pisces is the one to go. They're emotional and caring, they love romance and music, they're simple.
Since we got an idea of our couple's signs, we started to think about their surroundings, their personalities, environment, style, and everything there is to know to build the most realistic characters we could. I really want to delve in the character's world and pull of a J.K Rolling, and I will, but that is for another blog. For our introduction especially, details and background truly matter. We need to get every aspect of our character's star sign correct. I will discuss how we are going to do so in my next blog, along side our genre research, and how we are going to tie in the two.
I really hope you guys enjoyed my story time and.....

First Blog

 Hey Guys!
Welcome to the start of something wonderful. This is the first official blog relating to my portfolio project. I am so excited to go through this journey with all of you! Quite honestly, I never thought I would make it this far, but here I am, as ready as I could be.
For my portfolio project I will be working with Shelby again, and Nawal. I have never worked with Nawal, but I'm positive it will go great. I've worked with Shelby numerous times, and due to our perfectionism, we were always compatible and on the same page so I'm not really worried about working with unfamiliar people. To be honest, for bigger projects like this I am usually better off working by myself, but I wanted to challenge myself and explore this experience with others.
I'm going to reveal something: My group and I haven't decided on a genre yet. Shocking, I know. We are still in the process of figuring out what all of our creative minds can beautifully create, but that is what research is for. Throughout all of our discussions and previous research, I believe we are leaning towards the romantic genre. We have yet to identify with the specifics but, hopefully we will have it figured out by my next blog.
Since I am known to be a control freak and like to have everything organized before I begin everything, here are the steps we are going to follow for our research:

1. Brainstorm ideas for introduction
2. Research for story
3. Research on genre
4. In depth research of technical aspects of selected genre.

These four steps are our guide to have a full proper research component for our project. I'm not going to go into full details about these steps yet, I'm just going to let the blog do its job. I do have an idea of what I want to do, but I have to discuss it with the squad first. If my plans go accordingly, which they always do, our group will end up going with my idea. Once, I have informed them, I will let you guys know what it is, but for now enjoy being in the dark.
I am also known to be a little extra, which means I will be going full on with this project. I'm going to be maxing out the extremes with my ideas relating the plot and all the elements within it. I would love to do numerous things with this and I could tell you guys a couple things off the top of my heard right now, but I don't have much time. But I can tell you this:
My thoughts are swirling everywhere right now. My imagination is on panic mode. Seriously, my brain is going to fry if I don't stop thinking. I'm starting to get overwhelmed. This project determines  basically half of my overall grade....yay!
I'm getting a little too excited, too nervous, and too anxious but, I'm fine.
  yeah......
  I'm totally fine.......
  No stress whatsoever.

music marketing project

Hello guys!

It's been a while since I have blogged, but I am back!
To catch you up on what I have been up to the last couple months, I along with my friends Naja and Shelby were busy creating a Marketing campaign for our lovely band.
Today, I am going to walk you through our campaign. Obviously the first thing we did was research our genre and target audience. We conducted our research by looking into two bands within our genre of Indie-Rock. We chose the bands, The Black Keys and The Foals because we felt that they were a good representation of what we want our band to be. They both have a similar target audience to ours, 16-25 middle class individuals with an artsy vibe.
The research was a major component in our marketing process, because it provided us with all the important details we need to know to create the perfect Indie-Rock band. From the research we mainly focused on understanding the representation component. For example: How we wanted the band  to look, the message they gave, what their social medias looked like, basically the bands image image.
After we finished with our research, we decided to build our marketing plan. An important fact that we had to focus on was that our Target audience is heavily reliant on social media and the internet, for that reason, we created the following:
- Our Twitter account:  https://twitter.com/sole_music_
The reason we chose the colors of: light pink, light grey, and white for our theme is because the combinations of these colors creates the vibe that we want for the band. The colors have an aesthetic feel, and if there is one thing you learn about Indie-Rock is that its aesthetic.
Social Media is the number one way to promote oneself. In today's world that is about the only way you could reach a variety of people, all at the same time, for sometimes free. We could carry a campaign without the social medias. But we did need something to promote. Since our band is fairly new, we wanted to start with something small. We started booking our band to local clubs around our area, like in Miami and Ft Lauderdale. So, we created fliers to sponsor our band, and to post them on social media. Of course we had to plan ahead. So we started to plotting a long term plan, which went along the lines of: starting of in local clubs, and charities, then expanding to opening up for smaller artists within our genre, to expand our fan base. Then, we will open up, for bigger artist, preferably in the pop genre, because that genre targets a wider range audience to eventually opening our own major tour.
Now for the boring part. While creating this campaign, I have come to multiple conclusions. The first one being, do not rush the planning process. The planning is the most important part of any project because it creates a guideline for what you will be creating, because working on the blind side is not a great idea. Also, it is really important to fully understand your genre and target audience. If you do not understand your target audience, you will not be creating a successful project, no matter what it is. So for the film introduction, I will be making sure that I fully understand who my audience is. The last major thing I learned, is to plan realistically. Sometimes we get out of hand while we are planning, and we sometimes forget the reality of the situation. I have come to learn to take things step by step, or else you will end up screwing yourself over.

That is for my blog today, I hope you enjoyed.
